    Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. (BPMI) is seeking a service part/provisioning analyst.


    The Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) logistics and supply chain management system requires that necessary component service and repair parts be provisioned for procurement and maintained in shore-based and shipboard inventory.  Qualified individuals are needed to support the identification and provisioning of those repair parts and their associated technical requirements and to assist in various problem solving situations in the procurement, fielding, and inventory management of those assets. 


    • Create and maintain service part logistical data in accordance with government approved specifications, requirements, and algorithms.
    • Interface with engineering, supply chain, financial, and contract personnel to develop applicable service part logistical characteristics that ensure the correct inventory is maintained where needed and at the correct levels.
    • Evaluate fleet operational (new construction and commissioned hulls) schedules and installed asset configuration to partner with applicable engineering, supply chain, financial or contract personnel to ensure service part logistical data is finalized with sufficient scheduler margin to deliver assets in support of fleet needs.
    • Apply analytical and problem solving skills to resolve complex service part logistical issues.
    • Analyze service part data reports to determine needed updates to service part logistical data.
    • Identify and recommend service part management process changes and improvements that will be implemented in the governing requirements, the logistics enterprise business system, company operating instructions, and training modules.
    • Remain abreast of industry practice applicable to efficient and effective service part inventory management and apply that knowledge to daily production responsibilities and process improvements.
    • Monitor applicable individual service part specifications to ensure equivalency, quality, storage/packaging requirements meet or exceed Program standards.
    • Analyze deviations to in process or delivered products to assess the technical acceptability of the service parts.
    • Review manufacturing procedures and reports against technical ordering requirements to assess the technical acceptability of those documents. 


    • Bachelors degree in Operations Management, Interdisciplinary Business with Engineering Studies, Engineering Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
    • Proven working experience as a service part logistics or provisioning analyst.
    • Technical expertise regarding service part and supply chain management.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications is preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience with process improvement initiatives.
    • Strong analytical, communication, organization, and time management skills are required.
    • Individuals must display attention to detail. 
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government security clearance requirements.  In order to work at BPMI, applicants must complete a Federal background check investigation and be granted a security clearance.
