    Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. (BPMI) is seeking a supplier security specialist.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Review and approve Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) supplier security plans for the control and protection of information.
    • Coordinate with suppliers in establishing and monitoring their security programs, including lead responsibility for selected suppliers.
    • Work with BPMI and the Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) procurement organizations to ensure the appropriate information security requirements are included in contractual documents provided to suppliers.
    • Conduct audits of supplier compliance with physical, cyber security, and/or information security requirements as defined in contractual documents provided to suppliers.
    • Coordinate and provide timely responses to supplier security issues as necessary to ensure the appropriate stakeholders are notified and to ensure the protection of information.
    • Team with equipment departments, IT, suppliers, and other government agencies to achieve commonality across the NNPP and to support effective security at suppliers.
    • Maintain currency on security issues and ideas: conduct research into new concepts, equipment, or methods to provide appropriate recommendations to address current security vulnerabilities and mitigate future supplier security issues.
    • Investigate and interpret possible physical security-related violations.
    • May perform other duties, special projects, or related non-essential functions, as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in security/criminal justice, business administration, information technology, or related field from an accredited college or university
    • Minimum of two years of relevant experience (advanced degree may be considered in lieu of some years of experience)
    • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
    • Ability to travel monthly to supplier facilities
    • Must be a U.S. citizen due to government security clearance requirements. In order to work at BPMI, applicants must complete a Federal background investigation and be granted a security clearance.
